ELFA (a.k.a. Emma Louisa Frances Anglesey) released her debut album this month, with the help of a Whirl Records deal.
The album was produced and mixed by Paul Greene (James Blundell, Hirst and Greene, Ghostwriters, Spy Vs Spy), mastered by William Bowden (Gotye, Kylie Monogue) and the demos were recorded with New York based bass player and producer Jeff Hill (Rufus and Martha Wainwright, Joan Baez, Joan as Policewoman, Frally).
Bike is the first single from the album, which is being launched this Thursday at the Poobah amid rumours of an ARIA nominated artist opening the night.
“The song Bike was inspired while riding in New York City, over bridges and through tunnels late one night after hanging out with one of my music heroes Sia Furler” she says.
Turns out she’s a woman after my own heart.
